Visit of the Hon'ble President of India
The Hon'ble President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam visited the Dubai Campus of BITS, Pilani on 20th October 2003, accompanied by Mr. Arun Shourie, Hon'ble Union Minister for Information Technology, Mr. Sudhir Vyas, Indian Ambassador to the UAE, as well as other important dignitaries. He had informal interactions with both students and faculty.
Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman, Dubai Media City Free Zone along with other ministry members visited the campus on 20th October 2003 to receive the President of India.
Dr. K.K.Birla (Chancellor ) BITS,PILANI
Dr.K.K.Birla, an eminent Industrialist and Chancellor of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani inagurating the new campus at Academic city, Dubai on 5th December,2007.
Dr.Sam Pitroda
Dr. Sam Pitroda, an inventor, a technocrat, social thinker and an expert in Telecommunications visited BPDC on January 12th 2005. In his address to the students he encouraged them to aspire to create jobs rather than search for one.
Dr. Rajasekaran Pillai
Dr. Rajasekaran Pillai, Vice-Chairman, UGC (University Grants Commission), Govt of India visited BPDC on 5th August 2004 for its first graduation ceremony. He gave the convocation Address and awarded the certificates of graduation to the students.
H E Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi
H E Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, the then Minister of Economy and Planning, Government of UAE (currently Minister of Foreign Trade) visited BPD on 1st Aug 2006 during the third graduation ceremony of BPD.
